Great penalty killing by the USA I must say. God must have stepped in to help Richter on the Lemieux shot at the open net though.
The intensity and pace of this game is just what I knew it would be... intense. I'm very happy so far with the way Canada is playing, very stong both offensively and defensively, and the score is reflecting it. The Sakic goal was huge. Makes it nice going into the 3rd period with at least a small lead. Oh, and the penalties called so far have been pretty on-track, none have been really out ot lunch calls. But then, McCreary IS a Canadian NHL referee, and he's widely known as being completely impartial for his 25 year career.
