Mozilla is a seperate browser.....firefox is developed by the mozzila group....it's NOT the mozzila browser....apart from the fact that firefox is a relative new
browser.....more bugs also don't have to be critical bugs....that story is not
objective. Firefox bugs are fixed faster than IE bugs.....and a lot more exploits
are available for IE browsers......

It's only a matter of time before Firefox has as many, if not more exploits than IE.

I use an add on for IE (Netcaptor) and the only time I've ever had a browser/spyware problem in 10 years of internet use is when my cousin uses my computers. Firefox is for people who don't know how to manage their systems

That's like saying a Chevy is for people that don't know how to drive. - It doesn't make sense.

Anyway, to comment on the article. Looks to me like someone needed a filler piece for their quota. And threw on a controversial title. No where in the article does it state anything about IE or FF being more/less secure than the other.

The opening line alone leads one to believe it's saying mozilla is more vulnerable than microsoft. And then throws in a "but" to rebudle that statement.

The key points to the article.
Quote:
"25 vendor-confirmed vulnerabilities were disclosed for the Mozilla browsers"...."Eighteen of these flaws were classified as high severity."
Quote:
"13 vendor-confirmed vulnerabilities were disclosed for IE, eight of which were high severity."
Quote:
"at the time of writing, no widespread exploitation of any browser except Microsoft Internet Explorer has occurred"
Quote:
Symantec counts only those security flaws that have been confirmed by the vendor. According to security monitoring company Secunia, there are 19 security issues that Microsoft still has to deal with for Internet Explorer, while there are only three for Firefox.
So here we're left with jack in real information as to which one is more secure. It's just a filler article with no facts pointing in either direction.
