I did not challenge anyone to a speed test nor did do any bragging. I just thought it was honest to post some test files so that any perspective client could make there own determination.

The title says "PREMIUM HIGH BANDWIDTH" and yes I can only admire the fact
that have test files up......so I tested. Then you get pointed out that you
might have a problem.....you dissapear. Most people who replied took the
time and effort to try the same and came with the same conclusion. It was
also pointed out that this doesn't have to mean that you are a BAD hosting
company.

Some of us have put up the test files aswell and give you pointers on where
might be the problem. Again this doesn't have to be on your side.....it could
be at 1 of the backbone providers your company uses or possibly a config
error in a switch or router.

But you decided to leave through the backdoor out of this thread. This
makes me wonder what you do when a customer has a problem. When
you don't know how to solve it......are you going to ignore them aswell?

I'm honestly looking for a hosting company....I have been following your
threads and tested your network on multiple occasions. I'm not a competitor
and I'm not here to bash you or your company. People who know me...know
that I'll never do something like that.

If I can be of any help I'll help....but also if I see something wrong I'll point
it out......then it's up to you to proof me wrong...or solve what's pointed
out.....that's the way it works. Whenever I am wrong...I'll be the first to
admit it and I'll gladly post that I was wrong and give you props for it.
Up to now you haven't.....so we're still waiting.....it's up to you how you're
going to get out of this.......as a solid company that solves any problem or
as a company that sticks its head in the sand when things get tough.

?But you decided to leave through the backdoor out of this thread. This
makes me wonder what you do when a customer has a problem.

I have a lot of respect for you coming here and posting your results. I could not say on the board all day and watch the thread, but I will address the problem today.

?When you don't know how to solve it......are you going to ignore them as well??

We take care of all our customers 100% and I do not think you could find one thread or customer that has been unhappy with e5hosting?s dedicated or virtual service. Unfortunately for us a lot of our customers are not very active on this forum.

Regards,

Anthony

Anthony I'm glad you're back....I never stated that e5hosting.com has/had unsatisfied customers....I questioned an option....I'm glad to see you choose
to not stick your head in the sand and address it.....sorry if I seemed unpatient.....it just appeared you had a lot of time by posting advertising threads.....no offense.....let's continue :winkwink:

This is an advantage.....people are more likely to bitch than to give praise....
if your company was known as a bad hosting provider....we would have known

e5hosting 09-21-2005 04:48 AM

DynaSpain,

Are you willing to do this?

Outline a real thorough test to determine a hosting company?s network speed and I will give you a dedicated server on a 100Mbps port to use for testing?

I am hopeful Webair is willing to participate in this friendly challenge.

unfortunately anthony's right. i'm a very satisfied customer but even more inactive on the boards. it's been two months (already/barely, depends how you want to look at it) and support has been nothing short of great. goddamn, anthony woke me up the other day, calling me a couple times + email + icq regarding a problem that was already responded to by support earlier. i've never gotten that support at any host i've been with

good stuff for sure, but i wouldn't mind some extra sleep next time :winkwink:

ServerGenius 09-21-2005 06:05 AM

Anthony of E5hosting.com has contacted me and he will setup a box for me
on his network so that we can do some extensive testing. He will NOT pay
me for this....and doesn't require anything in return other than posting objective
results....no matter what the outcome will be.

to be continued :winkwink:

DynaSpain,

I have been tolled by several GFY?s that you are very knowable with Servers and Networks.

So we are going to put our Money Where Our Mouth is. Why wouldn?t any good hosting company do this? Did you have any luck contacting Webair or any other Hosting Company? Hmm

We are going to give you the following sever for testing:

Server Specifications:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Premium Intel-based Server
Intel 3.06GHz Xeon
3 GB RAM - Memory Registered ECC Kingston
4 x 146 GB SCSI - Disk Storage (Ultra320 SCSI 15K RPM)
Raid 10 plus 1x 146 hot stand by
Bandwidth ? Tier-1 NTT/Verio Network
Dedicated 100Mbits Full Duplex Port
8 Dedicated IP Addresses
OS ? Linux Red Hat ES

We have registered the domain ?www.thenetworkchallenge.com? for your use. Please advise me on what DNS server you would like to use.

Side Note: Verio is currently research those trace routes (at this time they are saying it?s not there network) and will post a full report in this thread.

Regards,

Anthony

This is getting almost comical,You get what you pay for, Verio has ok bandwith but it surely not Top Line Tier 1 Bandwith. Any hosting provider can brag about how fast their "Tweaked" Server is. Shit i can put up a edge cached server that will blow the doors off yours but it really proves nothing about the networks the equiptment is on.

The server will not be tested...the network will....Anthony is offering this server to use from which tests will be ran.....just be a little patient....we're going to make this into a multiple hosting provider test challenge....soon I'll open a new thread explaining in detail what this test will include....and other providers will
be given the chance to enter aswell.....all providers will be tested by the same
criteria and tests and then we'll post results.....

this started with a nice idea....and we're still coming up with new ideas which
we will finaly compile into 1 big detailed challenged with multiple test executed at random intervals for 1 full week.

to be continued

latinasojourn 12-27-2005 09:30 PM

ok, is there a conclusion to this thread re: download speeds e5hosting and other hosts?

very interesting, and not often evaluated when choosing a host.

latinasojourn 12-27-2005 09:31 PM

and servergenius i am impressed with what i see from you.

do you have an opinion here?
