We seem to be treated well so far.
Some good guys over at XBiz.
Have you spoken to them about this?

Haha, ASACP loves us now. Joan Irvine recently sent us a personal letter asking for our sponsorship.

I am treated ... exactly no way at all by Xbiz. But that's because I'm "nobody" ;)

But that's kinda gay that they don't even mention your press releases Steve.

Hey Steve Have you been submitting your press via the newscaster? Directly to our editors?

http://www.xbiz.com/newscaster

Always good to us. BTW, feel free to submit press releases to www.PRadult.com

You can target surfers or webmasters, we add description and keyword Meta tags, and encourage the use of anchor text.

All PR's are search engine friendly from beginning to end.

No, but when I submit a big PR I would like featured in the mag I contacting someone from XBiz and let them know. Then I usually get a phone call reviewing the submitted PR and any changes necessary etc
Try contacting someone from there if they aren't being published.

You may not be aware of it, but press releases are for more than the human eyes that read them, but also for SE spiders.

All my press releases are written for the benefit of the spiders. They have better memories. That is why we came up with PRadult

Gee we can get xbix to pick up our press released either. When your event is the worlds largest female gangbang, AVN, Playboy TV, Sexcetera, Stern any many others are in line to cover the event. Its a shock since we are doing a live webcast this is in Xbiz's realm and no coverage no matter how many Press releases have been sent.

A simple friendly contact or personal notification expressing what you would like to see usually get's the job done. I doubt it's a personal vendetta.

Wondering why you came whining to GFY before asking XBiz directly first?
Is this how you expect affiliates and others to resolve issues with Lightspeed?

Hey Steve,

I handle all of the press releases for XBiz and I have not seen any from Lightspeed
? not in a long time.

http://www.xbiz.com/newscaster/

You know I have nothing but love for you and I can assure you that you're not being "overlooked" or "discriminated" against ? I simply haven't received any releases from you.

I've submitted press releases for both MALLcom and Pornstar.com that have gone ignored. I'll be using the XBiz Newscaster from now on, but it would have been nice for someone at XBiz to point that out to me!

Did you ask them?

If you want something out there, don't rely on them to come to you. You have to be aggressive. I am sure anyone from AVN to XBIZ will tell you that is how I operate. I have half of each respective staff on my messenger.

I don't expect them to point anything out to me. Don't walk through life like they owe you something.

Well, "someone from XBiz" (me in fact, as well as Kristen) pointed out the proper procedure in this thread ? as well as on other similar threads on this same board ? which you also acknowledged here ("I'll be using the XBiz Newscaster from now on")

YET I still was just forwarded your pr via email from another staff member, in which you state "I?ve sent you guys a bunch of press releases and so far I haven?t gotten any play on the site."

http://xbiz.com/newscaster/ is the URL to submit press releases to - NOT VIA EMAIL

Sure, I'll run your pr today after I run all those sent in by folks who "play by the rules" ? and I'm not picking on you personally ? but no matter how many times we tell folks what they need to do, they don't bother doing it and then try to stir up board drama over what they perceive as a wrong done to them.

Look at it another way: if you were submitting a gallery to a TGP and didn't follow the submission rules, would you be running to the boards crying that your dialer-dropping gallery wasn't listed by that mean TGP owner?

Thanks Stephen. Didn't mean to sound like I was attacking Xbiz, that was not my intention. But I'm not crying to anyone or stirring up "board drama," either, just replying to the original topic question. I know your not picking on me personally, but I was never told before this thread the proper procedure to submit P.R. after I submitted previous releases to the wrong spot!

Thanks for responding and posting my stuff.

i'm not attacking either

i just think the mods should be more careful. i have to work all day, then go home at night and play board monkey. i don't want to keep re-posting stuff. Bugs and Kristen and Alec and his bro are way cool with me. i'll still advertise with them because they are a viable advertising option and well worth it. i think i was freaking pissed when i replied. no harm no foul.
