hardrive Data recovery places?
The power adapater on my toshiba exploded and my hardrive stopped working.. that's life i guess.
I got a quote from one place and they want 1500 and thats a 60% chance of recovery of data.. It's a scam becuase they make you pay for all the parts and labor regardless if it works or not, so thats like 700 right there you are sinking into a useless hardrive if it doesnt work. Has anyone went through this process before, if so, was it successful? |

Geek Squad at Best Buy will do it fairly cheap. I had a friend do it a few months back after he spilled a 1 litre coke on his laptop.
