i'm talking about when i signed up for dream host last year when they had that special going and i emailed and asked about adult content and I was told no

Nah, they have no probs with adult content..
Although, I had nothing but problems with them.. SLOW mysql servers... frequent downtime... got a gallery linked by fusker that CRASHED their server twice... so they moved my account to their hightraffic server.. still, definately some neat stuff in their control panel... |

wish i saw this before i got hosted where i'm at now.. one plan in particular is nearly a third of what i'm paying now-- i know where i'm hosting next month..
