Every hour the reports get more menacing. This shit does not look good from any angle.

What may be worse casualty wise is if that thing hits Mexico and causes flooding. Their building codes are too lax and like Hurricane Mitchell it could kill thousands.

mother nature could give a fuck about skin color, religion, political affiliation. If you think only rich white people escaped devestating hurricane power, you are dead wrong. Even Bush's Maine house got swiped years ago by a N'oreaster.

Rita has just been upgraded to a Category 3 and it's NIGHT! How warm are those waters to bring it to a 3? This does not look good.
