Unfortunately no codeine.. Took 5 ibuprofen retard pills so far (800mg) and 6 400mg paracetamols and it still hurts beyond limits

I recently had that and 2 root canals that needed to be done. Doesnt solve the problem but Ice Water helps with the pain. Only problem is you always have to have ice water in your mouth so you're drinking gallons of it and pissing every 5 minutes. But it beats lying on the floor in agony as I found out. i just finished 3 days of agony ... few things are as disabling as a bad toothache - take whatever you got - aspirin, ibuprofen, tylenol, etc until u can get to a dentist. i feel your pain!I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. It is rough, I've felt your pain. If you have any antibiotics take them to stop the infection. You can also take Ibuprofin, tylenol, and asprin all together and see if that helps, that way you get 3 pain killers together and they are all different types of pain killers too. If you have Nyquil take that in place of the tyelnol.
Try rinsing out your mouth with warm saltwater too, but it doesn't really do much. I know how bad it sucks, but when you get to the dentist tomorrow and he numbs you it will be so good. You're almost definitely going to need a root canal because the infection is above your tooth and the roots of your tooth is digging into it causing the pain.

I had that not so long ago, bitch pain. In my case severe swelling occured, so it was not only very painful, but pretty ugly. Went to the doctor and she put me on painkillers and antibiotics. I had to go for 2 weeks without drinking anything with alcohol in it because of the antibiotics.

If all else fails, rub some JD on your gums where it hurts.
I remember when I broke a tooth on the weekend, and had to make it 36 hours before the dentist. I tried everything, and finally I tried rubbing some Jack Daniels on my gums where the pain was, and tada. Better. Not completely gone, but numbed enough to sleep.
I wasn't drinking it, although if I had, I am sure pain would have been the last thing I was thinking about.
