Still here in Hawaii. Woke about 7am today and headed out on the boat into the ocean and found a couple nice schools of dolphins. Jumped out of the boat and swam around with them for a few hours. They accepted me into their home and performed some crazy tricks for me, 4 inches from me, while we swam together. I snapped about 30 pics with an underwater camera... it was nutty, pics coming in a few days....

I was reading an article about two guys who go to the jungle to make friends with Gorillas and have them accepted into their world (friends). One of them men does not take a gun, and is accepted my the Gorilas as a friend and they are friendly with him. The one guy who takes a gun is not accepted by the Gorillas and is kept as an ousider. I think you need to change your perception of how you play with the dolphins in order to gain their trust. These animals can probably feel it from you.Comment

Note that the NOAA, NMFS, Hawaii DLNR, Wild Dolphin Foundation, and other conservation groups and scientists discourage swimming with wild dolphins, and advise viewing from no closer than 50 yards. Legislation is under consideration to explicitly ban the swimming tours. Existing federal legislation bans "harassment" of wild dolphins, but doesn't define harassment very clearly.
