The government knew and did nothing about it.. interesting... Oh.. and the mainstream media failed to report the Security alert when US-CERT issued one before the election... "The "Cyber Security Alert" from US-CERT was issued in late August of 2004 and is still available online via the US-CERT website. The alert warns that "A vulnerability exists due to an undocumented backdoor account, which could [sic: allow] a local or remote authenticated malicious user [sic: to] modify votes." Here's an interesting post from someone commenting on the story... "Hilarious. I'm an IT guy and receive these USCert bulletins...I remember seeing this particular weekly summary last year. Passed it on to my boss with the Diebold entry highlighted and we wondered about the shitstorm that was sure to follow. It didn't make news then, and it won't make news now. Thanks for your hardword on bradblog...I wish we could get these 'commercially-made-busy' people of america to wake up and remove themselves from the boob tube for 15 minutes to see what is happening." ![]() |
