I'm curious about the 'on Scot(t)ish TV' thing. There's a few regional variations but most TV in the UK's the same. What channel was it shown on?

Either way the whole things just a tad fucked. Regarding the not taking any legal action thing, as a rule UK (European) law seems to come down harder - we simply get far fewer killings so there's still a little shock value when people do die.
