web site chat servers? flash client?
I'm looking for a solid, stable web-based chat system that uses a Flash-based client. It can't use any ports other than 80, and can't use Macromedia's Communication Server. It has to be able to handle several thousand users (limited by machine specs, not coding), with the ability to preconfigure rooms, and allow users to create rooms.
IRC-based chats will not work for this project. I think the ideal system would be Java on the server side, and Flash on the client side. Any suggestions? |
