They were thinking about putting Al Bundy... different character of course... on 8 Simple Rules as the uncle. That would have been weird seeing the two together again.

i think it would have been awesome. 'peg' & 'al' have awesome chemistry on the set. i really liked that show too, that 8 simple rules show. its a shame that Ritter passed away.

Well he actually played in one episode, as "Peg"'s old boyfriend.
They stopped sending the reruns here in Norway some years ago
