My other new found interest is short track speed skating. That is like roller derby on ice.

Curling rocks! I love it! Too bad the Mens team sucked this year. But the women were pretty good, except for last night.

Did you guys see if you watched at 925 PM EST on CNBC they announced the RESULTS before they showed the tape-delayed broadcast? IDIOTS!

i think they just realized the lack of events versus the summer olympics and threw in curling because one of the olympic committee was held down and a curling rock held over his head...

um, because is is hugly popular in a large portion of the world. A lot more popular than say, basebaseball is in most countries and that is in the Olympics. (don't yell at me, I am *very* much a baseball fan)

Atleast it is a game with a diffinitive ending. It is stuff like figure skating which require a judge to determine the out come that I question.

Every played bocce (spelling?) ball on the lawn inthe summer? The rules are pretty much the same but the center of the circle is the target.

It is the strategy side that gets me into it.

I can't stop laughing when I see the USA mens curling team and their leader is intense like a football linbacker. . . it seems like curling is like shuffleboard for people who don't want to go on a cruise.

There should be no olympic event that I could potentially do.

I used to make fun of curling, then the other night about 2am, was watching the women's curling (I think they should be forced to wear skirts ;))) and started understanding the strategy and it was actually entertaining...the sweeping helps the stone move faster and I remember seeing the oposing sweepers sweeping the back end of the ice when their opponent's stone was nearing the back of the target area...I still think curling needs some sort of tackling or bodychecking action....
