On a personal note, my old housekeeper retired back home only to lost her home to the cane, I have been helping her and 11 members of her family get moved into a new place. She doesn't have any insurance, and she's a great lady who's really struggled to raise her family. It's the least I can do. So what if I can't deduct it, I feel honored that I would be her first call.

that's an awefully philanthropic thing to do. you are always donating to those in need. a rather refreshing thing to see.

i have sent the red cross money, looking into sending more to another organization as well.

Why not help if you have it. There are many avantages. give your
% of income to the irs or donate it to the needy.

Then the best thing out of this is to donate and get something out
of what you bid for. Good deal i thing.

Now i totally respect the fact that a very well known respected
person like Lens is willing to open his heart for a good cause.
