Should I get a refurbished DELL Computer, or a new DELL computer?

Hey guys. Im looking to buy a DELL computer. The refurbished DELL computers are about 200 dollars less then the brand new models. Just wondering if anyone knows if the refurbished ones are good to go with or am I going to have problems with it? Or should I just buy a brand new one? all feedback would be appreciated. thanks!

why exactly do you specifically want a dell?.. it's not as if they're the best deal around.... but i guess so as not to question a decision obviously you've made and little else i'd get a new one.. but thats just me.. not a big fan of buying used or "refurbished" electronics unless it's in components.. like a bit of RAM here.. or an ethernet card there..

Id go with any dell... I have had this pc for 4 years now, and it runs like a top. I have only formatted C once in its lifetime.

Dell has been good enough that I bought another one about a year ago for my finacee...

IMHO why would you not want to put your own computer together from scratch? Dell's are nice and all but why pay for their advertising, when you could build your own.

It really isn't that hard and for a bit of effort you could have twice the computer. Not only that you'll learn soooo much!

Get a refurbrished one. Dells are good plus you still get some kind of warranty on it. You should have no problems with a refurb. model. And any computer outdates itself rapidly so why waste extra money now...

yeah but it's not DELL that allows you to run all those programs together.. it's the component parts.. the same parts you can buy yourself in ANY possible configuration you want and for any specific purpose and put together - or get a more knowledgable friend to put together for a case of beer.

but i guess if you don't worry about the cash and don't mind spending it for support and whatnot then thats cool.... i just start imagining geforce 4 cards and 21 sony flatscreen monitors im missing out on when i look at dell's prices.
