Why are adult webmasters lying fucks?

Heh.. thought that would get your attention. In all honesty, I don't think that adult webmasters are worse than the rest of the population as a whole (in fact, I think they might be better, because of the firm ethics involved in peddling porn without getting uncle sam breathing down your neck).

On the other hand, in my short while in this biz, I've caught hundreds of people trying to cheat me while I'm offering them a service. I'm really dissapointed, because I think this says a lot about our society as a whole.

If only every program were as honest as jesus-dialer. How heavenly would that be.. Does someone have the URL?

I am looking for suggestions on how I can make money with my Freehost. Right now, it looks like banners at the top and a small text link at the bottom. Does anyone have suggestions for what they'd rather see?

I'm currently hosting these filetypes: html,htm,css,js,gif,jpg,swf,png -- what do I have to do to get *your* business?

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

... an adult webmasters says "I am doing 600 signups daily", he means, "I have done 20 signups for the month, might be something wrong with my processor"

... an adult webmasters says "my members stay an average of 6 month", he means, "90% cancel their trials, the rest stays 2 month and most of them chargeback, maybe I should start buying some content for my membersection"

... an adult webmasters says "my sites convert like 1:120, you really should send some traffic to XXX", he means, "I have no idea what I am doing wrong, why the hell does it take 1500 qualified uniques to get a signup?"

... an adult webmasters says "I am getting some 250.000 uniques to my paysites, why not join forces?", he means, "I am desperate, this buiz is dying soon, is there any traffic I can steal of you?"

I've never heard of some of those, but why exlude .jpe files from that list? They're a biggie and used by alot of people!

And theres the resellers who think they send 2000 uniques per day because their sexlist counter says so. Then theres the resellers who claim Im shaving their stats though they never replace "your code" with their reseller code. Theres also the reseller who is sending S&M traffic to my softcore teen site and cant figure why it doesnt convert.
And overall.. the funniest thing is the resellers who sell the same damn site that 50,000 other guys are selling and dont understand why they cant get sales.

Theres scumbags and morons on both sides of the fence...

I produced a website for a new non-adult company last year, and was shocked when they tried to get me to ditch my partner (the graphics artist) because graphics aren't worth anything.. this is after they had a working site, and wanted a price break. I mean, the fuck you say!

I have also opened a new free-host lately. I'm now working on an automatic script for virtual hosting. Do you guys think that giving the opportunity for v-hosting will attract more webmasters? Or webmasters dont care whether it's a domain or just a link?

Well, I don't think what you have here is really a matter of a domain name or not issue.... the crux of it is, you say you're gonna open virtual hosting... but there's already GOBS of virtual hosting widely available.... (as well as freehosting).... so the question REALLY is, what are you going to offer that is going to stand out and MAKE webmasters want your service over the one's that have been around forever?
