REMINDER: Bush Will Bounce Back After Katrina Missteps

Every day for the next year, voters will see nonstop scenes of federal relief, rebuilding, renovation and reconstruction along with the empathy, sympathy and compassion these efforts imply in the heart of George W. Bush.

Every relief convoy will get a wide slice of publicity. As the pumps run and the city and the gulf region drain, the nation will feel a surge of heady optimism at our ability to bounce back from disaster. Happy visuals will replace tragic ones, and interviews with homeowners joyously moving back in will run instead of the tearful stories of refugees.

    Bush will rebound, and hard.

Then Carl Rove will blame the storm on the liberals. Kennedy farted and that caused the earth to warm, which in turn caused the hurricane.

        maybe not.

Clinton also said she believes the bulk of the investigation should be on the federal level because of the presidential declaration signed two days before Katrina struck.

That declaration put the federal government in the lead to coordinate the response to the disaster.

"I'm primarily interested why the federal government was not more ready, not more able, not more willing" to handle the response to the disaster, she said.

The FEMA chief was the best friend of one of Bush's election managers...his previous professional experience was limited to some sort of show horse rules enforcement. He is nothing but a yes-man for Bush and his paranoid homeland security obsessions. Nobody holding any position of power in Bush's administration is allowed to disagree with him. From 9/11, to Iraq, and now Katrina...tens of thousands of americans have lost their lives because of his refusal to consider advice and intelligence from those who may disagree with his personal opinions. He is a total fucking loon.
