Dave Stodghill's Criminal History Unveiled!!!

Yep, Dave Stodghill was in prison... and for sex crimes, no less.

From the blog:

Back in 1995, Dave Stodghill was being a very, very bad boy, being charged with no less than seven different crimes between April and November. His incarceration as a result of these charges extended through April of the following year.

While Dave Stodghill will often hint at charges against him for "intimidating a witness", its no surprise that he doesn't boast about the numerous other crimes he was accused of and/or ended up serving time for.

To begin with, the "intimidation of witness" was charged along with "Harassment/Stalking By Comm/Add Other Manners" on May 1, 1995. This came just a few days after Stodghill was first charged with the unusual crime of "Allowing a Child to Illegally Operate a Bicycle". All three charges were tried together, and resulted in Stodghill pleading guilty to what appears to be the lesser crime of "Defiant Trespass", and was ordered to 90 days unsupervised probation. By no means is this on scale with intimidating a murder witness.

A few days after Stodghill plead guilty to the above, September 12, 1995, the Carlisle Police Department arrested Stodghill on a number of sex offenses; Aggravated Indecent Assault, Indecent Assault Without Consent, and Corruption Of Minors. On October 17, Stodghill plead guilty to Indecent Assault Without Consent, while the other charges were dismissed.

As if becoming a sex offender wasn't enough, Stodghill was apparently arrested AGAIN on November 12 for "Buying and/or Receiving Stolen Property".

At sentencing for the sex crimes on December 12, Stodghill is ordered to serve 5 to 23 months incarcerated at Cumberland County Prison... with credit for 21 days already served.

While in prison, Stodghill was able to, once again, plead guilty - for the previously mentioned "stolen property" charges - and is able to serve the sentenced 2 - 23 months concurrently with his current prison time.

Apparently, Stodghill was able to serve the bare minimum of hard time, and is released in early April 1996. Stodghill was officially labeled a parolee for the remainder of his term...and must also undergo counseling for the charge of indecent assault without consent.

Not surprisingly, this isn't the last of Stodghill's legal problems or a concern of the Carlisle Police Department...

Considering he's insisted for years that he never, ever been in prison, and called people liars for saying so, I don't know if he's loving this.

I'll be posting the criminal dockets, as well as a link to the official site where anyone can look for themselves, in the coming days.

Stodghill is being "owned" not by hearsay, or links to other comments on GFY, but the very "proof" he always demands and claims that nobody has.

If anyone happens to know if Dave Stodghill will be in the Carlisle area, or anywhere in Pennsylvania for that matter, should notify the Carlisle Police Department. They're eager to pick him up for questioning for a parole violation. He also owes Cumberland County $300.

Stodghill, Sex Offender

Tipster "Concerned In Carlisle" writes in, perhaps to shed some light on the the charges and convictions against Dave Stodghill:

This was a long time ago, so my facts are fuzzy, and I may be relying on hearsay. I believe Stodghill was in jail twice. Once for driving a getaway car from a robbery of a house. Stodghill's story is that he was in the car and did not know his buddy was robbing the house. Second time Stodghill was harboring a 14 year old girl in his apartment when was 18 or older. The girl was missing from her home and her parents pressed kidnapping charges against him. The story I remember is that police came to his apartment and searched for the girl. Dave had her climb out a window onto the roof. When the police left, they looked up and there she was. Again, I'm not sure about the details here, but this is pretty much what transpired.

Could this be tied to his conviction of indecent assault mentioned earlier? Related to the dropped "corruption of minors" charge? If so, this makes Stodghill a full grown adult of 22 years when he was acting inappropriately with a 14 year old. In some states, this would require Dave Stodghill to register as a sex offender, but not in Pennsylvania. If the indecent assault charge was against a minor under the age of 13, it would. Or if he was convicted of a kidnapping charge.

However, in North Carolina, where Stodghill currently resides, he he may be required to register as a sex offender, which he hasn't done.

According to the NC Megans Law requirements:

The registration provisions of North Carolina's law are applicable to persons convicted on or after January 1, 1996 of a reportable offense or who have been released from a penal institution on or after January 1, 1996 for a reportable offense (see Section II A)... A final conviction in another state or federal court of an offense, which if committed in this state, would have been a reportable offense would also require registration if the individual fell within the reportable time frames set forth in Section II above (see Section IV).

Kind of reaching big time since i dont have a cirminal record... simply put, I have never been in jail... My name appears no where on ANY offical PA website.

Stodghill has barely been posting here -- I think he finally realized his profit margin scamming the GFY crowd was pretty minimal.

Even after I posted the criminal dockets, and links to the PA gov't site to prove I didn't make this stuff up, Stodghill still denies it all. He's also now claiming that the site ISN'T an official PA site, and that anyone can add dockets.

In short, I wouldn't expect him to change his ways... so don't be surprised if he ever rears his ugly head here again.

And, if anyone has any Dave Stodghill stories they'd like to share, please feel free to contact me. I won't be settled until he's offline for good, in prison or not.
