What's your favorite movie of all time?

What's your favorite movie of all time?

Here's a list of top grossimg movies:
http://movieweb.com/movie/alltime.html

I guess I would have to pick "Empire Strikes Back"
with Schindler's List somewhere below that. I've seen Pulp Fiction about 10 times so I must really like it or something.

The Matrix

Can't wait for 2 and 3 to come out....though I am sure they won't be as good as the first.

Well, I'm sure there's some scat flick that would qualify as "top grossing," but seriously...

I see a lot of movies (usually 2 or 3 a week) and I have developed an inability to even think about which one I like best for two reasons: 1) having seen so many movies, smoke starts to pour out of my ears when I start thinking about it and 2) it depends upon the day, the weather, my mood, and so on.

Ten movies I really like and can see over and over (in no particular order): The Matrix, House of Games, The Fifth Element, Alien (the first and best one), 2001: A Space Odyssey, High Tide, Wings of Desire, Cat People, There's Something About Mary, and Blade Runner.

On another day, I'd have a somewhat different list.

I have to agree with UnseenWorld.

In the line of the questions like favorite comedian, best babe and so on, I have to go with Something About Mary and Ford Fairlane. I have both seen them a zillion times.

However, for each category there must be at least 5 I like very well.
The Indiana Jones Movies rock, Seven was very good the first time I saw it, Shawshenk Redemption too, E.T. kicked ass, so did The Truman Show. The list goes on and on...

I never cared much for the Star Wars movies though, just not my cup a tea. You a trekkie Colin?

Then again, ask me in an hour and I will say something else. I can not name ONE best movie if my life would depend on it, I would have to lie then

I have to say that I like a lot the Starwars Trilogy, but my favorite is Brave Heart. I don't understand how come it's not in the top 66 of the highest grossing movies. Anyway, it's still my favorites.

top ten in no particular order:

1. The Exorcist
2. Hellraiser
3. Nightmare On Elm Street
4. Friday The 13th
5. Requiem For A Dream
6. Welcome To The Dollhouse
7. Bad Taste
8. 2000 Maniacs
9. Killer Klowns From Outer Space
10. The Evil Dead

would also have to fit "Dogma", "Clerks" and Dumb and Dumber" in there somewhere.....I'm a sucker for cheesy b flicks, bad horror movies, splatter flicks, "grossout" comedies and Corey Feldman flicks (especially the low budget trash classics he's turning out lately ;)))

Zombi 2
City Of The Living Dead
Cat In The Brain
Demonia
Premutos - Der gefallene Engel
The Evil Dead

I just got an uncut region 2 DVD of Dario Argento's Non Ho Sonno. It's the best Argento I've seen in a long time.

You forgot to mention..

Lord of the rings, which when all 3 movies are released will probably be my favourite movie of all times.

Jaws, it has sharks in it!

Boondock Saints, the most underrated movie ever. It kicks ass, dont know why hardly anyone seen it. William Dafoe does an excellent job.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Saving Private Ryab
Full Metal Jacket
Trainspotting

and so on..

So many good movies, too many to list. Imposible to say which is #1. But whenever I buy a DVD it's got to be a movie I'll watch at least once or twice a a year. I bought THE MATRIX, T2, BLADE RUNNER, THE ABYSS.

One movie that is up there with all of them is

"THE IMMORAL MISTER TEAS"

Has anybody seen it?
