    is background sound such a bad idea for a tgp site?

    I've never used a background track on any of my sites because I know no matter what that sound is - it's going to get on your nerves, its' just a matter of time.

    but

    what if the sound matches the theme of the tgp, and is very mellow in the background like a soundtrack of ocean on a "bikini girls at the beach" tgp? would that annoy you deeply ?

          no!!! sound is bad. there is no reason for it. there will not be one surfer who bookmarks your tgp for the sound. they want porn!!

              SOUND IS BAD... If someone is in the office or their wife is asleep or something and they open your site and it is all loud they will close it and never return. That is just my oppinion but sales go down whenever we add sound to a tour.

                                                              Agreed. It's different if there's sound on a movie clip because the viewer EXPECTS to hear that, and can adjust their volume accordingly. Unwanted sound closes browsers almost as fast as spyware.
