Bodybuilders who smoke?
This big buff dude who goes to my gym... I roll up on the gym today and he's outside, smoking a nasty cigarette.... What the fuck is the purpose? Why go to the gym like a fiend just to go outside and give yourself lung cancer? lol

most bodybuilders are more concerned with appearance than anything else, and bodybuilding isn't big time cardio.
The biggest drawback with smoking and lifting is that nicotine constricts the arteries and you can give yourself a heart attack while working out. |

Not a good idea. Maybe it also reduces body fat and bodybuilders are crazy over getting body fat to the lowest levels. When most people quit smoking they gain lots of weight.

There is a Pro bodybuilder who lives in the valley who smokes. He works out at my gym and right before he goes in to lift, he ashes out his smoke. Nice guy tho. He owns Savage Tanning in N. Scottsdale off Frank Lloyd Wright.

I'm sure you get a few like that, but most who are truly serious about it and pursue the lifestyle completely, wouldn't dare. My ex-husband is a competitive body builder and he was a teetotaler- no alcohol, no smoking, no drugs, no sweets, etc., etc. Almost everyone he trained and competed with was the same way.
