Sorry but we do a load of sociology in my course also, and it is one of the most biased areas of study there is. Everything comes back to some bullshit Marxist perspective being correct.

Mine was pretty even handed but I do know what you mean from having read socilogy works on my own since.
A lot of the courses I had for my degree actually dealt a lot with marketing a and corporate sociology in addition to the whole 'we need to understand each other' thing.
Strange but true - the most interesting class over all I took was about the Sony Walkman and how it was sold to the population. That went everywhere from corporate structure in Japan and its effect on society down to how they sold it to different races in different parts of the world. Now, I use some of that info to sling smut..lol |
