Do porn DVD producers still use music during the scene?
I was just downloading a scene from a DVD sponsor and I previewed it like 30 seconds into the download because it looked like it might of been one of the movies where for some reason, loud rock music is played during the whole scene.
Sure enough, loud crappy rock music. It seems to be way more common in European content. Is this common practice in Europe or what? IMO is ruins the scene entirely and for what I'm cutting clips for, makes it useless. |

agreed.
nothing ruins a reality type scene more than dubbed sound. natural ambiant sound is best. |

In European porn movies they often use loud music because the dialog is non-exisitant or minimal. European and American studios producing "features"- movies with a story-line (such as is is) as opposed to reality style or amateurish productions - often use music for stylistic purposes or because it is expected by the industry buyers and end users and because, if well done, music actually adds something. I use music in some of my DVDs, but I always make sure to make it appropriate and not overpowering the dialog and natural sex sounds.
