Industry Folks Need Relief.... Help Osiris and Wicked Temptress

ok guys, as most of you know Osiris and WT live in an area of louisiana that was pretty devastated by Katrina. Red and I have coordinated to set something up for them so we can help them out. They wont have regular mail or internet service most likely for at LEAST a month, so they have no way of working and no access to any of their epass or paypal money and they have 2 beatiful kids to feed.

So Red set up a paypal account in order to collect some funds and we will be wiring the money via western union later on to them (only way they can get anything right now)

If you'd like to contribute, please send what you can to

katrina @ treasurebox-collectables.com

via paypal, and if u can post here or drop me an icq or email letting me know u contributed (and amount if u like) so I can compile a list and when they get back online they'll know who to thank.

I would like everyone to know that I'm doing this out of concern for a friend, not because I was asked to by Osiris or anyone else. Osiris and WT are in a pretty bad place right now and they could really use our help. I couldnt think of a better group of people to ask then the people in this industry. The overall kindness and generosity of the people here never ceases to amaze me.

I cannot even begin to thank you enough and I know Osiris and WT will feel the same. so please, if you can send whatever you can to
katrina @ treasurebox-collectables.com

Thanks
Chris & Red

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far.

It doesn't have to be a big amount. Small amounts from a lot of people add up quick.

Keep bumping this.. show some love for Wicked Temptress and Osiris. Some of the best people I've had the pleasure of knowing for a long long time. If you were thinking of helping out someone with even just a little, this is a very deserving family.

also thanks to everyone who has stepped up to help one of our own. WT was practically in tears when I told her what we're doing for them, she really couldn't be any more appreciative.

this industry amazes me, it truly does. Thank you all SO much

This thread deserves a lot more attention then it's gotten. Come on people, these people work with us in the industry, their lives got turned upside down and they have kids to feed.

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated. I just got through to Wicked Temptress on her cell.
She said things are unbelievable. The stores have very little food, mostly snacks. They are being rationed on bread and packaged meat. There is no milk, there isn't much and they are only letting a limited number of people into the store at a time. Gas means hours of waiting and then rationed at $10 at a time, at $3.18 a gallon. The banks are even limiting the amount of money that can be withdrawn.

Their house survived, but she said the metal shed they had in the backyard is now completely molded around a large tree.

Since they have no cable, the only news they are getting is from the radio. They really don't know the complete devestation that's been done. No cable means no internet, no means of work. No mail means the checks they have coming can't get through.

I was just so happy to hear her voice and to know that they are all ok. Whatever we can send them will help. They'll be without income earning ability for at least a couple of months.

I don't think that they can legitimately be considered to be in the industry if adult isn't their main source of income.

They have been in the industry full time since 1997. That isn't legitimate enough for you? How long have you been in the business?

I'm going to send the money via Western Union. That's the only way they can get anything. No mail to get checks, no connection to get paypal or epassporte.

I don't know where you got that idea, but you're so far off the mark I had to laugh at your ignorance.

Like Red said, they've been in the industry full time since 1997.

you're an idiot, adult IS their main source of income. Osiris Designs, WT Writes Adult Stories and they have a webmaster program.

I don't think you can legitimately be considered to have any inkling of a clue. Thanks for playing

They do so much in the industry...

Osiris designs as well as runs a bunch of other sites as well as handles their webmaster program with Wicked Temptress (see sig) ...Wicked Temptress writes, as well as does cam work, and is taking a photography course... so before too much longer I'm going to have a very difficult time thinking of any single area of adult that they *don't* work with.

so there are peoples with barely demolated homes, working electricity, but no internet. and in their shops they limit what they can buy,and at their gas-station they limit how much gas they get?

and why should peoples donate?

can't they work on designs for own future pages, se-stuff, avs, and, and, and if the have energy, and upload all that later?

there are really peoples in need, open your eyes. and peoples with houses are not the right ones for donations.
they don't have about $3k to survive an month without outside work if they are since 98 in adult?

holy fuck, leave the donations to peoples who really need it!

Because they do NEED it! You don't know how much money they have, can you not read? THEY CANNOT GET TO THEIR MONEY, christ. ONCE AGAIN FOR YOUR BENIFIT, THEY CAN ONLY GET $$ VIA WESTERN UNION. Banks are under water and are running out of money. Not everyone keeps that kind of money in their homes. Have some fucking compassion and read before you open your clam trap!!

so there are peoples with barely demolated homes, working electricity, but no internet. and in their shops they limit what they can buy,and at their gas-station they limit how much gas they get?

and why should peoples donate?

can't they work on designs for own future pages, se-stuff, avs, and, and, and if the have energy, and upload all that later?

there are really peoples in need, open your eyes. and peoples with houses are not the right ones for donations.
they don't have about $3k to survive an month without outside work if they are since 98 in adult?

holy fuck, leave the donations to peoples who really need it!
Your ignorance is astounding, and all I can think of to say is that I am glad you aren't family.

For me, family most definitely comes first, and while I am not a blood relative, Osiris & WT are most definitely family to me.

As far as "people with houses are not the right ones for donations" --I know another couple who lives in Mississippi, they have a 6 month old baby. Their house wasn't destroyed, and they have electricity & dial up... however they too have no $, no way of accessing their $, no way of getting food, the stores are all looted, they have no gas & have eyewitnessed people get shot dead for attempting to siphon gas, by the owners of the vehicles. Are you going to say that they too are undeserving? Their chances of starving to death slowly are amazingly high, but they're undeserving of aid simply because their home wasn't destroyed?

You really have no idea of the magnitude of what is going on down there do you??? House or no house, that's not where most of the trouble lays right now.

Osiris & WT have two beautiful baby girls, that need to be fed. I'd rather donate & know that people I care about are getting the money instead of donating to an unknown charity where percentages get taken away & where the money goes to benefit the people who have raped, murdered, vandalized, etc etc.

You really are a shmuck. No one is saying not to donate to others who need. I don't know how long you have been in this business, but it's obviously not long enough to know that this industry helps it's own. They always have and hopefully always will.

Yes, there are people worse off, but these are business associates that most of us have known for years and to see them lose everything and not have money to feed their kids because they can't get to funds and have no way to earn income is something I won't let happen.

They are part of this industry, that makes them family. Our business has so many people trying to bring us down, we need to do for each other. The adult business may be large, but we are actually a very small community that has to look out for each other cause ain't nobody looking out for us.

I would just like to say thank you to everyone that wished us well and/or donated to help us along. It really means a lot to me, and I sincerely appreciate it. Feel good and have a laugh knowing that you made a fat man cry a little.. lol

I am forever in debt to all of you... Thank you again!

It's a madhouse down here and it's getting worse as more and more people come to hammond...

Banks around here are still limiting the amount we can withdraw to 100.00, 90% of stores are not accepting debit/credit cards and the ones that are have a limit as to what you can spend..

There's military posted in the area, choppers fly by every hour or more, mail service isn't running, Cable T.V. isn't working and we JUST now got our internet connection back..

So how's everyone else doing?
