Out of gas in AZ

Anyone else hear the rumors that we here in Arizona will be out of gas by next Tuesday? The lines around here are already out of hand, maybe cause of the holiday weekend butmaybe not? I know most poeple I have talked to have changed their plans from driving somewhere to staying home and walking somewhere this year.

I know there is a lot of people on here from AZ, just wondering if it's what you've heard as well?

Bullshit, although could happen if a false shortage is created. Like last year when the "pipeline broke" or whatever their lameass excuse was.

I've seen 3.09-3.15 in Ahwatukee, should be fairly relative to that.

Our gas in AZ comes from California and isn't gonna be affected by this. The problem is the places that "might be" affected by this are jacking up prices, we see this on the news, and then freak out when our prices go up.

No, we had our problem last summer.

From: http://www.azdwm.gov/business/CBG%20main.htm

Where Does Our Fuel Come From?
Arizona receives all of its gasoline from two main sources:

* the West pipeline suppliers (predominately Southern California refiners), and
* the East pipeline suppliers (predominately Gulf Coast refiners).

The West pipeline, the larger of the two, runs from Southern California to Yuma and then to Phoenix, through which product is in transport for 6 to 7 days! The East pipeline runs from El Paso, Texas, to Tucson and then to Phoenix, where transport time is slightly less than that of the West pipeline. Of the approximately 1.5 billion gallons of Arizona CBG that are piped or transported to and consumed within the CBG Covered Area each year, roughly 57 percent comes from the West pipeline and 43 percent comes from the East pipeline.

I thought our shit came from a pipeline that was in Tucson. Not sure where that one comes from though.

Remember when there was a small shortage about a year or so ago in AZ? The Tuscon pipeline broke or some shit?

YEah, I recall it was a pipeline spilling fecal matter all over the beautiful Arizona desert. All that wasted methane! tsk tsk.

An "Oil Analyst" on cnn said that the high prices are a reflection of market place, not an actual shortage of gas. ie: there is no shortage of gas.

Precisely.

The oil companies play the "shortage" card every time they get a chance.
