So explain to me where is the lie? |
Those defending Bush, who do you blame for New Orleans turning into Bosnia? Why were we able to get help to Tsunami victims before our own country? Why do people in Baghdad live better on our dime than people in New Orleans? Not bashing Bush, just wondering who is to blame for this poor response.

LOL, guess which Texas company is getting the government contract to build housing for the refugees?
HALIBURTON http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...home-headlines I was wondering why they decided to ship them all to Texas so fast. :disgust |

To twist the hell these people have gone thru in the Balkans, by comparing them to poor Americans living in a self imposed hell... step the fuck off Until you have put YOUR life on the line in defense of a real cause, do not bring up any of these external conflicts. Refer to my other posts about the root causes of all the problems you are seeing. Until the communities police their own actions and their own failures no one else should be blamed. To compare the struggle of the Serbians or the Albanians to the poor of New Orleans is OBSCENE! |

If we could drop MRES in Afghanistan and Somolia, I figure we could do the same in New Orleans......
|
one thing i don't understand is why there wasn't airdrops of water, MRE's and medicine. I'm talking C-130's and parachute drops. I realise it's an innefficient distribution method.. but.. it would at least have been something and a HELL of a lot faster and FAR less man power intensive than trucks/helicopters(which were used more critcally to rescue).

Second, I never compared the struggles of people in any country to ours. I stated that what I see on TV and read in news reports of New Orleans reminds me of the same things I see on TV and read in news for countries like that. I also never mentioned any of the other countries you are using. Lastly, my comment was to compare anarchy and chaos that has never been seen in the US. We hear of these stories from other countries all the time, but have never experienced it on our own. When I hear of people laying dead on the street for days, people not being able to get food or aid for a week, I don't think of the US. As for your comments about giving states more control. I agree. We currently have a conservative government that appeals to primarily rural areas. There is a reason why major cities consistently vote democrat year after year. I would love states competing over citizens. The problem is that no one wants to get involved in politics. We can't make major changes like this when half the people couldn't name the fucking governor of their state. I wish I knew a way to fix this, but until then, we'll have a government in place that will consistently piss off half the country. |
The Democrats have no "vision" or moral leadership. The Republicans are lead by the judgemental "Pat Robertson" types whose vision includes damnation of anybody who doesn't see the world in their black/white vision.

He'll never get impeached guys, remember who has majority in congress. He will go down though as arguably the worst President in our nation's history.

You're right theking, it's the blacks and hippies that cause all the problems huh? I'm glad this thing has at least made a lot of conservatives show their true colors. It's harder to tell who you really are without the sheets over your heads. |

QUOTE] they know they don't have to. theking and his ilk will always show them love and defend them to the death. All the while, they're fucking theking in the ass. I wouldn't care what happens to theking of course, the sad thing is that his vote counts as much as mine. As long as we have morons voting, they'll vote a moron into office. |

The fact is that the UN wanted to continue the search for WMD evidence while the bush gov. had made up their minds from the start of all that shit to invade iraq. It was their mission to go to war, and although they failed in gathering valid arguments they still did, because they CAN. Power and money is what that is called, and that is what makes the world go round. If you think anthing else you are a very naive person. |

The laws of war are laws that must be obeyed by the United States, its officials and its military, and by the UN. The laws are contained in treaties that the U.S. has signed, ........ War crimes are divided into two broad categories. The first are called crimes against peace. Crimes against peace include the planning, preparation, or initiation of a war of aggression. The second category are what we can call crimes against humanity......... This law has arisen over hundreds if not thousands of years. All countries must obey it. Ref. |
