So did everyone just hear the interview with Ray Nagin?

first government guy that I've seen say exactly what everyone else is saying

Was on CNN tv and I can't find a link anywhere.

He said someone mentioned bringing some school buses in to evacuate those stranded and went off. Something like "This is a national disaster. Do they have any idea how big this is? Get the entire Greyhound bus lines and get their asses to New Orleans"

He also pointed out how quickly funds were given after 9/11 and the Iraq war and how much power the US has given Bush. Said the Governer and Bush need to get off their ass, have a meeting and figure this out.

This is from another article but not what I heard on CNN.

"Nagin vented his frustration at the media but mostly with state and federal officials.

"You would think on day five of the worst natural disaster in the history of the nation, and possibly the world, we would not still be waiting for troops and buses," and a flooded Interstate 10 underpass to be cleared. "It's a disgrace. It's a national disgrace."

Nagin said 200 to 250 Guardsmen were in the city, but more than 3,000 were promised.

"No additional troops have arrived. People have promised. I'm sick of the promises," he said.

"I am pissed. I am absolutely pissed off," Nagin said. "People are frickin' dying every day. They (state and federal officials) need to get off their asses."

Nagin said he was hoping to have the Superdome completely evacuated Thursday. The single file evacuation continued into the night."
