New Orleans Hospitals Under Sniper Fire?!

Right from the headlines of CNN.com...

New Orleans hospital halts patient evacuations after coming under sniper fire, a doctor who witnessed the incident says. More soon.

Is it just me or is this getting really out of control. Looting and trying to steal I can understand since these people have just lost nearly everything they own and even rebelling against police out of frustration I can understand. But to seriously shoot at injured hospital patients randomly? What in the world does that accomplish other than slowing down rescue efforts?

I'm hoping one day the rest of the world realizes just what type of scum lives in this area of the US. Only then will they realzie why there is so much hate. These igornant pieces of shit are acting like they always do, with total disregard to anyone but themselves.

What I said, was the looting and stealing is understandable, but the shooting of patients and civilians like at the hospitals is ridiculous. That just slows down rescue efforts!

You would be sawing off too much of the country... It is not just New Orleans, go to any major city.

I am surprised that there are not riots in other parts of the country. The usually do this to show solidarity... yeah right. They do this so they too can get some ill gotten gains.

The reporter asked them about the looting and they said if they saw looting they would stop it. The camera next panned up the isle in the store where several people were stuffing grabage bags with clothing. Unbelievable. Hopefully out of all this a new city is born that has the charm of old New orleans but less corruption.

The looting for clothes and food I understand. I am talking about the people doing the carjacking, the sniping, the shooting of people at random, the shooting of cops, the shooting up of police precients etc.
