lol... Yeah that was pretty crazy... All my neighbors knew what it was and I knew it was a heat score if it ever started to flower but, I just didn't have the heart to cut it down.. The laws for growing weed in BC are just absurd. I would not doubt an operation that size existed, but there is no way you are gonna hide that kind of power consumption from the power company. If that setup would not set off an alarm, I dont know what would.

I knew a guy who would just rent houses just to use during his grow, 3 months or so depending on the strain. Payed some slack ass to live there and monitor the grow, if the people got nailed, big whoop. Slap on the wrist. If it did not... million dollar crops.

The reward FAR FAR outweighs the risk in BC. Hell, even I have considered it. A good size hydro scrog grow will net you an amazing amount of product in a short period of time in a small area. Any plant over 5 feet is just wasting space and light. scrog all the way.

Ya thats the only way they get busted here, is if the power company sees a huge amount of electricity use it notifies the police. But only a small fraction of the grow ops get busted here. I know lots of growers that rent houses like you said, very common here and you can make so much cash. I knew a smart guy who had a grow-op and he somehow wired the electricity striaght from the power line to his house, so he had free power and they could not trace his usage. He did this for about 5 years until the power company went to fix the line and noticed his little setup.

Growing weed is also profitable here because if you can get it across the border into Washington, they pay allot more for it there, and you could also trade it for coke, which you americans get really cheap :winkwink:
