mackey, please look for a charity that directly benefits displaced families. There is plenty of federal funding available for the essential stuff and most organizations skim so much money before it gets to where it should. Even a nearby shelter or someone providing clothes to those who evacuated would be better IMO.

Also, I just noticed a lot of New Orleans sites (sites based on the city/about, touristy crap) are down, more than likely hosted within the city.

That sucks.
