Labret...I don't have a get rich quick scheme to share with you like the 90% of webmasters emailing you.

I just plan on working hard and providing quality over quantity long term.

I have a few innovative ideas. And hopefully some day I will get to put them to use and see how well they fare.

Im not talking about the world, Im talking about internet smut.

I never said innovation was dead or bad. One more time for you Corky. It is like I am talking to myself.

If you manage to harnass the same power you used when getting your GED, and came up with some kind of innovative idea, and it makes money. It wont last long. Why? dirty stinking newbies.

You go Rambo. You obviously you did not thrive in english class.

buster 02-15-2002 08:09 PM

yes thank you give me me to much credit im a 9th grade drop out and dont have a ged but it does not matter internet our not any biz on or off the net will thrive by way of creativity and everything can play out in 2 hours it does not matter new ideas will prevail every 2 hours and people will make large amounts of money beating you to the punch even if the punch only last 2 hours

quiet 02-15-2002 08:10 PM

must have done well in that previous 'business' - leaving it behind for gfy ;)

eroswebmaster 02-15-2002 08:10 PM

Labret I understand fully what you're saying.

Yes it's true there's always going to be copycats..someone taking your new ideas and exploiting them to the point that they no longer work.

But that in and of itself is not a good enough reason to stop trying...not for me at least.

I think you will agree with me that even tho' there are copycats out there it's the ones who continue to change the face of an industry, the ones who continue to be on the forefront of change are the ones who speak of their careers that spanned years, and not weeks or months.

eros

Man we've really gotten of the track of this thread...LOL...IBILL still sucks.

Nedder 02-15-2002 08:13 PM

Labret you cocksucker,

Don't fucking jizz on people that need their $200 iBill check to survive week to week you asshole. If all your iBill shit went south you could probably still sell your car and eat for awhile I bet.

Just because it ain't big money don't mean it ain't just as important to John Q as it is to you.

iBills done a fucked up job and everyone knows it. End of story. Now how are they gonna fix it?

Shoplifter 02-15-2002 09:38 PM

Labret I have become a fan.

The main thing wrong with the whole industry is that it is drowning under the weight of it's own bullshit. There is just too much crap...and when they don't make money with that they make more crap or extreme crap or whatever.

I think that things are closer to the abyss than they have ever been...But honestly I welcome any shakeup that might weed out a lot of the background noise. The main reason it's not as easy as it was in '98 is that things are so diluted by all this shit.
And if it should go down for all...I have had the time of my life
and won't cry at all.

Yah and you are right about keeping your mouth shut. Every friend I have (or rather had) thought they could be an adult webmaster. I took all the blame when they all went down.
Your money will corrupt everyone around you.

Unless you are black belt in Unix or TCP/IP or Marketing don't even -think- about it. The biz isn't really about selling porn anyways.

brocklanders 02-15-2002 09:57 PM

The irony is that even you Labret were a newbie at one time you fucking hypocrite. And what, you never "borrowed" an idea from another Webmaster? Bullshit!

Speaking of TGP's -- I love 'em. I build a clean gallery with content provided by my sponsor, push a button on my recip duper program, upload to a free host and push a button on my submitter program. The result of this 30 minutes of work every day? At least 30 - 40 signups/day @ $40 flat rate. That's the way it has been for the past 2 years, that's the way it's going to be for a long, long time. You are so high and mighty making your $300k and working your ass off. Well, I work 1/10th the time you do, am 5 years younger than you are, and make just as much as you. You are a fucking minute drop in the bucket in the entire scheme of things, as am I. But I'm happy and only blame myself -- not newbies -- if I have a bad day.

Furthermore, attacking one's grammar, punctuation, and spelling is the biggest fucking cop-out I have ever seen. So is attacking them personally. If someone brings up a valid point, the correct thing to do would be to either verify or deny it -- not turn into a fucking spell check.

I usually enjoy your cynicism and pessimistic humor Labret, but for the first time in all your threads, you sound like a fucking newbie moron who lacks intelligence and class.

True, but what you are about to say is what seperates us.

And thats why you should be drug out into the street and shot execution style. And I bet you have the nerve to call yourself a "webmaster". Fuck you you fucking button pushing fucking clown.

Thats what seperates you and I (when I was a newb). Nobody gave me content, nobody held my fucking hand, nobody gave me a script to write my html you stupid cunt. I didnt need someone to hold my hand.

Newbie? riiiight.

Class? I have no class. "Class" is for those who care what others think. And I could give a rats ass what your newb ass thinks.

Kimmykim 02-15-2002 10:48 PM

Damn Labret, I see you are really gearing up to win that popularity contest... or maybe you don't have any refills on your meds?

Hahahahaha!

[Labret] 02-15-2002 10:49 PM

Bah, having a bad day.

its almost tax time. :(

brocklanders 02-15-2002 10:57 PM

It's "separates" not "seperates"

It's "didn't" not "didnt"

ROTFL!!!!! Sound familiar you fucking hypocrite?

And just because I work smarter, more efficiently, and net more than you, doesn't give you the right to start name-calling. Very mature of you. I never called you a newbie, I just said you sounded like one.

Have a good night, I have to start building my galleries. Tell you what, I'll dedicate this one to you.... :1orglaugh

In light of Labret's recent extreme prolixity, I would think he could use the following link:

I grossed about $320k last year yes, but because of the tax man and other costs I netted about half that. I post a few galleries on paid hosting, but they account for less than 2% of my total revenue. The majority are posted on free hosts.

Sometimes I work an hour. It's not the most challenging work (my biggest complaint), but look at it this way:

I have a sponsor that converts at 1:200 on average (+/- 50). I get about 150,000 - 200,000 uniques/day to my galleries w/ a CTR of around 4 to 5 %. Worst case scenario: 6000 or so click-through's @ 1:200 = 30 signups. I'm sure you'll agree these numbers aren't outrageous...there are webmasters out there that have better converting sponsors, get more uniques to their galleries, and achieve a higher CTR. But hey, I'm lazy. I make a mean gallery, promote a potent niche and make on OK living considering the amount of work I do.

[In response to BrockLanders' post]

Let me guess.... Best Sex Host and ARS' Teen Dreamer

I don't blame ya, with the right layout & color scheme TD converts faster than Richard Simmons in a biker rally

Even with about 30 webmasters I can count using the same formula [I have a script that reads sponsor ref IDs] this formula works... that's why TD is always in the top five of ARS best selling daily list.

Just what we need -- another fucking site that advertises young teens doing hardcore... No wonder ARS is shutting down sites -- I bet they are scared.

Instant Clue Delivery--> All of TD's models are over 18. ARS is fully compliant with fed law.

Haha... and so you think you are safe?

I hope you can sleep at night.

Take a moment and think about what you are selling.

"young teens"
"hardcore"

At least I hope you don't live in the USA.

TheFly, I was merely commenting on a [OPEN SECRET] formula that works for a lot of webmasters. Its an easy cash highway to a site that converts [didn't always.... Mike W changed all that].
ARS is fully fed law compliant. When I drive traffic I make sure to mention that all models are 18-21

Besides TD there are other high converting sites that have their own "secret" formula. TGPs are very susceptible to formulas....

I've only read the 1 page of this thread. Anyhow Labret an innovation doesn't have to mean that you get rich of it. Furthermore all innovations are used by other people after a while. You can prevent this for a couple of years by applying a patent for your innovation.

I hope this helps you.........
