They simply stated what would drive someone in their situation to do so. I clearly said I did not condone looting and stealing. People are dying. People have lost their homes, their family, and their lives. I don't think anyone here sees the big picture. People are going to die because they are stranded without food, water, and medical supplies. I can't even imagine how terrible it must be for thousands of people alone in the dark right now. With water rising nearly ten inches an hour in some areas, which is filled with all sorts of toxins.

If someone in that current situation starts breaking into stores and stealing food, clothing, or maybe some jewelry. I'm not here to say if it's right or not. I'm not going to simply judge them with a fast and ignorant fist. As I've said numerous times already. My point was that none of you should have been so quick to pass judgment in the ways you have. There are people dying out there god dammit.

I'm so sick of the ignorant posts I see too often here on GFY. Too easily did everyone judge another human being in a terrible and horrific situation from the comforts of their home safe behind their computer. I just wanted people to stop and think for once. It would be nice if people saw the bigger picture for once and actually thought about all the lives destroyed by this mess.

All the rich people already got out and there are the poor ones left over. There are also people that have lived there for generations and won't give it up. Look at the people that would rather fight and die than leave the Gaza strip.

There are a ton of houses under water so having food supplies would be freaking pointless. Some people are taking food, water and dry clothes and I think that's ok but some are going to the extreme.

There are some exceptions like your house being flooded. :)

I've been through several hurricanes and the riots down here in Miami and have seen plenty of looting. I can honestly tell you the looters are always 99% black. Any chance those fuckers get they loot. Thats not a statistic thats a FACT.

I get your point but their is no denying that certain types of crime rates are higher among Blacks. Studies show us that no group is more likely to lie or steal, but in the real world we see with our own eyes that groups get involved in different types of crimes. One gets involved with white collar crimes and the other primarly drug/gun related crimes.
