Encoded and Unencoded link codes with NATS

In my current situation I have to use Unencoded link codes, and right now there are some NATS programs who don't have the option to Switch back and forth in the link codes section.

I usually contact the program and it's added fairly quickly. Well today I contacted a program, and they said they do not offer Unencoded link codes because it messes SE's up, and also it messes up tracking. Knowing php, I was pretty sure this doesn't mess with the tracking at all since all it is, is a decode function that is skipped most likely, but what about SE's? I personally think either or, it's the same exact thing. Example: Encoded: http://join.cumonherface.com/track/MTApMzY3Pjg6Mg/ Unencoded: http://join.cumonherface.com/track/a..._PARTNER:COHF/ I was just pretty suprised a sponsor flat out told me basically "no, to bad". |

Why do you need to use Unencoded ? Just curious. Is it a 'trust' thing ?

it doesnt mess up anything with SE's its just a differnt version of the code, everyone is supposed to have it unless they were updated within the first few days of V2 of Nats then they dont have it, it was great workin with you Alky and getting you the codes to work

certain search engines wont pick up sites with refer codes. i could be wrong but from the looks of the two codes, one looks like a directory and one looks like a refer code to the search engines. they should still give you the option though, for whatever reason you need it for.

i need to be able to use the affiliate id field dynamically. i could get around it and just encode it myself and it should work. but i think that this affiliate program should offer it. hopefully they see this thread and change their mind. |
