yep its on CNN... they are talking about evacuating Tulane Univ Hospital due to flooding...

first floor is completely flooded and they are saying that it is rising 1 inch every 5 minutes.

word is a 2 block long breach on 17th street.

I was wondering when the levees would fall, just because the hurricane didn't take them down right then doesnt' mean they weren't severely weakened & would come down later... I hope everybody gets out okay!

Its on the lakefront from what I can gather - they are evacuating hospitals by air.

It's definately on the lake side. I wouldn't think they could stop that and it would probably erode more as water pours in. Keep us posted if you hear anything.
