    PC guys, if you were to connect to a network address...

    that someone told you was:

    \\192.1.15.25\hnetwork

    where in windows XP would you bring up a connection box to type that in to connect to it?

    1st off thats not an ip unless you are connected via vpn and you are on your work pc connecting to the network or connecting to your own network at home 192.1.15.25 = more like a router address

    2nd You connect the same place you put http://www.somesite.com but \\192.1.15.25\hnetwork

    Which is a netbu. connection if they have share access on a folder or something

                jesus, I can't believe I didn't think of typing it into explorer, been sitting here trying to setup workgroups and network connections wizards and all this other XP bullshit.

                    either start->run-> type in

                    or open a explorer window enter it in the address field
                    or open a IE browser also enter in address bar
                    or just go to network neighbourhood and also fill in in the bar

                    in short ... its windows .. no need to think hard *cough*
