Easy, she was the best performer by a mile. Justin Guarini came in second...and he has a pretty poor voice. I'm not sure what performance you're referring to, but she's typically pretty great live. I'm a trained vocalist and IMO she has an amazing voice.Originally posted by MystComment

I have Kelly's live mp3's of her live performances at AI and she actually sings VERY GOOD live. She has a BEAUTIFUL voice and is extremely talented, one of my fave singers out there!Comment

k, I just watched it. Her vocals were not good because she was jumping up and down too much and dancing plus the water being sprayed everywhere did not help. She sang much better in American Idol when she can stand still and focus on her vocals.
Usually artists lip synch when dancing so much such as Britney, Kelly sang live so that is why it sounded like that. She usally sounds much better.Comment

she has an amazing voice but she was pushing too hard last night. She was trying to show how "rock" she is now, going for a Janis Joplin style, and started out strong and then blew her voice out by the end of the song. Very few singers can pull off that type of raw, throaty scream for a whole set.
