Ahh... Fugazi.

I've seen them so many times back in the day. $5 punk rock shows man... that's what it's all about.

Same here man. In fact, I used to play in a couple hardcore bands back in the day and put out a bunch of 7 inches. Man, the DIY scene was incredible. Just the thought of it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I remember my old band and friends just piling into cars to roadtrip to shows up and down the east coast.

Those were some wild times...

Minor Threat was the first punk/hardcore band that really made me get into that scene. When "Out of Step" came out, man... that just blew me away.

Of course, other favorites back then were Gorilla Biscuits, youth of today... pretty much any of the stuff on Revelation Records.

Old school NJ fans should also remember bands like Turning Point, Lifetime, Mouthpiece and Resurection.

After all this posting, I'm going to have to dig up some old music. I have those 7 inches still but no friggin' record player anymore.

bro your forgetting the best band from New Jersey and it's a small town called Lodi I think thats in bergen county if I am not mistaken...

does the name Danzig ring a bell... The Misfits... my all time fav band

and my fav misfits song I can spout off the top of my head... I also sing in a cover band on friday the 13th and halloween's it's about cutting the heads off teenage girls..

The Misfits rocked hard, too... there's just too many great bands to name. Let's not forget Dead Kennedy's, either. That's another band that I would just listen to for hours.
