Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

TV question
I know this is totally off topic I but wanna know about the graphics you see on TV. Logos, scores on screen, ticker symbols etc.
Are the software packages they use the ones we are familiar with adobe premier, photoshop etc. or are the companies who were making it possible back in the 50's or whatever still doing it? Someone here must have programmed these things in the past. |

depends on exactly what it is.... they'll use many of the same programs premiere/3dsmax/photoshop etc etc.. hell i've even used flash to produce clean vector movies for broadcast.. all the stuff on tv is just like what we do... i'll use the above programs and output to a 768x 576 tga for input into a media100/avid system.. tickers and the like would be different though.. in my very limited broadcast graphics experience i've never had to know about it..
