I'm also an affiliate of theirs but haven't seen any increase in spam, and absolutely nothing like what's mentioned above. If they sold lists, they didn't sell their whole list. IMO something else is going on.

Yes, that is why he suddenly logs in under a new identity and starts bitching in all the spam threads. I would like to know the real nick he uses on an everyday basis... would definately change the way I feel about this person.

Calling people losers, failures and bitching about something that really makes this biz look bad, and fucks everything up for us honest folks really says something about a guy. Not just that he is a spammer himself. Probably started posting once he seen his account get closed, or knows it will be soon. Assuming the sponsors really do take responsibility and start controlling the shit.

I am going to undo all my filters and forward every spam I recieve to the sponsors, processors, and spam orgz... hosts and other things I find as well... I am sick of it myself.

We received roughly 80-90 of similar spam emails (and we continue to receive
them) this morning, most of them addressed to unassigned names
@rookiebabe.com (typical blind spam attempt)

Frankly we don't know how this particular email address of yours got on a
spammer's list.

Do note that you were spammed with "consumer sites", which proves that
whoever obtained your email address had no idea that you are an affiliate
webmaster, not a typical consumer. In other words, it is **highly
unlikely** (and utterly idiotic) for anyone to attempt to hack RB's
Affiliate List in order to spam it with consumer sites.

- Was this particular email address on file with any other company?

- What are the possibilities that you yourself were a victim of a hack?

We will be looking into this and will get back to you with our findings.

We do thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Then when I heard nothing else I wrote them to ask for any updates I got this:

WE HAVE NOT AND NEVER WILL SELL AFFILIATE EMAILS.


We have no findings proving that our list was ever compromised.

In addition we have not received any complaints from any of our other

[email protected] is a very unique mail and I only received spam to that mail nothing else to @mydomain.com.
