you start a conversation with someone and then they keep it going longer than you wanted it to?

My neighbor was just standing outside her door and I asked her if she got locked out. She said no but that she was outside because she didn't want her roomate to know that she was in the house. Apparently he's taking a shit and she knows that there is no more TP in there and is worried he'll call her to bring him over some.

She spent the next 10 minutes bitching about him and how he steals and lies to her.
