Probably not. How big is your dog? My dog ate all the Halloween candy one year. We made him throw it up and he was fine. I also feed my dog candy/chocolate stuff all the time. She's healty as ever. Just went to the vet the other day.

Yep, should be OK.

My cat on the other hand ate a shitload of spicy taco meat the other day... Ugh! I had to do a lot of cleanup... she couldn't make it to the litterbox in time.

Candy is fine as long as it is not chocolate. But watch how much, as it can still make them sick to their stomach.

Ditto. Cobb County has a 24/7 emergency vet office on Cobb Parkway/41. You should be able to get an answer on if you should bring him in or not with just a phone call

too much sugar is very bad for your dog.. your best bet is taking it in to the vet.. they have this shot(or pill, cant remember).... makes the dog puke it out before its too late...

Our 15 lb dog just ate a whole bar of very dark chocolate and was tweaked out of his mind, he was like someone who had been doing blow for two weeks. We called pet emergency and they had us feed him peroxide which made him vomit in a minute or two. We only gave him a couple droppers full and it worked really well. We took him to the vet and they kept him over night because his heart rate was so high. They gave him a couple of bags of IV fluids to make sure his system was flushed out.

Anyway, if you ever need to make an animal or person throw up, peroxide works wonders.

Nothing to be worried of. A peppermint candy won't do him any harm.

Sugarless Candies May be Poisonous for Dogs

Sugarless candies can be toxic to pets. Candies containing xylitol have been recognized by the National Animal Poison Control Center to be a risk to pets. This information was first published in July 2004. This compound can cause liver damage and death in dogs susceptible to being poisoned with xylitol. If your dog ingests sugarless candy it would be best to contact the NAPCC (1-888-426-4435). It is possible your vet will not be familiar with this source of poisoning as this information is fairly new and candies have not usually been associated with poisonings in dogs if they did not contain chocolate as the major ingredient.

I don't know about candy. My friends basset knocked 2lbs of Belgian chocolates off of the kitchen counter and ate the lot. She ended up on a drip over night
