They're both good, but Unforgiven can't be beat.

By the by... Metallica themselves said that Unforgiven II is not a sequal but a completely different song and as such, shouldn't really be compared to the first.

metallica started goin downhill when they started working with bob rock. the black album was ok, but it was to radio friendly for my taste. i love seek n destroy, whiplash, fight fire with fire, ride the lightning, the call of ktulu, fade to black, battery, master of puppets, sanitarium, one. mostly their fast, heavy stuff though. if i would have to choose, i'd choose the first unforgiven.
