    Need music help

My new favorite radio station is JackFM out of Seattle, WA. I like it because it always plays songs I've never heard before. Somehow it seems that more often than not I just LOVE them, but Jack doesn't do that DJ thing, so I never know how to find out who did the song.

This weekend (Sunday evening? I think) I heard a song that I was curious about, but have no idea where to start figuring out who it is.

The song had a woman singing and she sounded like every other pop music vocal track I've heard in years. Behind it was a really dirty and crunchy hard metal track. It was like I was listening to two different songs!

I was doing something else and couldn't really pay close attention to the song, but she was singing about "Save me from..." something she has become or something.

I know it's a shot in the dark, but lots of people here seem to know their music. Hopefully it rings a bell for someone and I can spend some time searching torrent sites for the band until I find the right song.

Well... Did it sound something like Avril Lavigne?

Since I'm from Norway, I know of a norwegian girl called Marion Raven. She has just been launched in the US. She makes that kind of music!

I'm all old and uncool and stuff, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Wham.

I'll look up the other three. It doesn't have to be new, just something I haven't heard before. Heard some funky old 70's song last month that I was having fun with. This one just really caught me ear as something different from what you usually hear on the radio.

          Thanks!

You were right. That was it. A SOUNDTRACK song. I'm so embarassed that now everyone knows I live in a tiny box in my closet.

            Thanks again!
