Fun Day in the Dirt on the Dirt Bikes...(Video)

I am on the red bike. My friend Chad is the crazy one hitting the big jump.
I still have four broken ribs that are almost healed so I had to take it easy.

Enjoy...

A day in the Dirt

Who else rides here?

Great video.

I feel for you buddy, they sure hurt don't they.
I think ATVing is a little more dangerous for some reason. I have a couple too but don't take them out that often.

About 20 minutes, let me know when you want to stop by and go for a little ride. I take it your used to the heat up there anyways.

haha not used to it yet or I'd be out riding right now ;)

i'm from vancouver but do a ton of business here and i'm in the process of relocating here for the next while.

once it cools down, or i get a bit more used ot the heat though that'd be killer!

Thanks,

It's actually a lot higher once you are there, the hard part is getting the speed right so you don't come short or overlaunch and pass the landing. That's where I fear the most. After the first one it's gravy.

i guess i just moved away and got busy. when i moved to san diego there are not a ton of really close places to ride. those shots were taken when i was at vandenberg afb. the base commander gave us about 100 acres to build an off road vehicle section. so if you can imagine the things we did with that 100 acres. we would make new tracks about every 4 months. the civil engineers would bring the dozers out and build us custom tracks on the base. we built a dip bowl, and three different stretches of whoopties. it was basically a skate park for motorcross. all sorts of air rides and jumps. those pics were actually shot there.

i am looking forward to getting back into it. i'll have to post some more pics of my life in the past 10 years or so, i jsut found a bunch of pics. i miss moto for sure.

I've been in a cast for my left wrist for months now from a crash on my yz125. Reconstructive surgery - major probs right now.

Was a set of doubles that i'd hit 1000 times but this time my front tire was almost flat. so when i landed it slipped out, and i bailed sticking my arm out...

sucks big time, I'm looking at a year recovery time, so I'm not sure about motocross in my future, spinning out in a berm would do my wrist in again after all this. Still got the love for the sport though.

great vid, looks like you guys have pretty nice riding grounds ;)

I like that jump you were doing over n over, where it almost looks like a bubba scrub style... :D looks fun.

A four stroke 250 would be my best guess. Two strokes are old now and they have a crazy power band. Honda and Yamaha both have really nice bikes.

Man that sucks. I can't imagine never riding again, I have been riding for over 20 years and have never not had a bike.

That really sucks, I can feel what you are going through. Sorry buddy.

Yup, that's a small bike, They are fun, but you can always use that extra power.
