Plus Linksys isnt service pack 2 compatible, you cant find shit bout that on their sites. Belkin sposed to be low key but it works and software is a lot smoother as well.

Good pick

I have a pre-n belkin, and the pre-n card for the laptop. 100% strong signal anywhere in the house, the neighbors house, the pool, etc.. 800k sq foot of broadcast range.. No single loss, no speed loss.. just straight up fast. Even my desktops have pre-n cards. The router sits in my net ready closet, which is about 60 feet from my office. Nice security features too and easy to setup.

Tanker has a pre-n belkin also; he can sit on his balcony roof and doesn?t lose connection.

The Pre-N is amaizing juicy... I tested it at john's place.. the router is in the basement, and I went all the way to the back of his lot where the trees start, left side, my normal card was dead, the pre-n had 100% reception.

Ive had 2 belkin routers that gave me nothing but problems, constantly disconnecting for me, sometimes for 8 hours at a time.

Also has a belkin KVM switch that would randomly stop working with my keyboard and mouse.

IMO.. belkin cant do anything right =P

Pre-n is just a type of connection by Belkin, they aren't going to expand on it which sucks..

It's super strong, super fast and has huge ass broadcast range..

With my normal wireless nic cards I can only pick up 2 or 3 other networks, with the pre-n card I can pick up 10-20 more open networks.. One hell of a card and router.. A bit expensive but worth it.. I recommend you spend the money to get the pre-n nic cards too, normal nic cards and pre-n bitch at each other.

I can go 2 or 3 neighbors down, in the house, and the connection will hold.. You can drive a block away and the connection will hold.

Its basically just a higher frequency standard.. 802.11n .. uses more than one antenna, and higher frequencies to transmit data. But 802.11n is not yet a standard, its still in the works. Changes every day.. Belkin just took an old version of it, and released hardware that used it. Calls it Pre-N... One thing to remember with this stuff,, its very likely that different company Pre-N systems will not work together, and its also likely that final N products will not work with Pre-N. Of course, they are all compatible with the current standards so can fallback to them.
