IBill declares holy war on the adult internet...

Is this just IBill's way of saying that they have found Jesus? Are we being brushed off? What does this $1 donation mean? Can we take a hint? Is this IBill's way of getting out of the adult biz without breaking their contracts? Did we leave a sour taste in their mouth in Vegas?

Yes, but I was making the connection to what Sleepy had posted earlier in the week...

If anyone read this -- notice the words "ethical and professional standards" -- maybe the IWA is putting some kind of moral pressure on IBill? I just wanted to see if anyone with more information had thoughts on this issue...

"iBill is pleased to announce its new partnership with the International Webmasters Association (IWA). Under the agreement, iBill?s services will be romoted to IWA?s vast international membership network. Founded in 1996, IWA
is the first and largest association for web professionals serving the industry by providing online learning and Internet certification. IWA's programs provide support to more than 100 official chapters representing over 150,000 individual members in 116 countries. IWA's accomplishments include the industry's first guidelines for ethical and professional standards, Certified Web Professional
(CWP), online training classes, specialized employment resources, and expert technical assistance to individuals and businesses worldwide. To learn more about IWA, please visit their website at: http://www.iwanet.org"

All this bullshit makes sense if IBill feels like Ned Flanders and we are the dirty laundry...

Take a look at IWA's "CODE OF ETHICS" -- which is the basis of the entire organization...

"IWA Code of Ethics

1. To show faith in the worthiness of our profession by industry, honesty, and courtesy, in order to merit a reputation for high quality of service and fair dealing.
2. To add to the knowledge of our profession by constant study and to share the lessons of our experience with our fellow members.
3. To build an ever increasing confidence and good will with the public and our employers by poise, self-restraint and constructive cooperation.
4. To conduct ourselves in the most ethical and competent manner when soliciting professional service or seeking employment, thus meriting confidence in our knowledge and integrity.
5. To accept our full share of responsibility in constructive public service to community, state, our nation and the global community.
6. To protect the intellectual property of others by relying on our own innovation and efforts, thus ensuring that all benefits vest with its originator.
7. To strive to attain and to express a sincerity of character that shall enrich our human contacts, ever aiming toward that ideal--"The Practice of the Golden Rule."

You're over reacting.

1) Porn is ibill's bread & butter.
2) If you call and ask, they will add your account # to a list of accounts which are going to be removed from the donation list.

This is exactly what my thread pointed out... idiocy. Ibill has continued to show their total inability to pull their heads out of their asses with regards to the webmaster community. Fucked up stats... failure to pay... poorly designed system architectures... need i say more.

This is their way of trying to:

a) Make themselves look pretty in the eyes of the upcoming FTC crackdown on spam
b) Make themselves look pretty in the eyes of the IWA.
c) Increase their number of non-adult transactions in order to reduce chargebacks.

99% of the people who use ibill wont notice this crap tactic and wont ever request it to be changed. The 1% who do will be placated & everybody walks away happy.

That is.. except for me because those fucks still owe me money :-/

What's so bad about them trying to help missing & exploited children? I understand how the check box creates a think twice pause, but you can request to not have the check box on your sites hello page..

God that is no shit. Its like comparing your mom and pop operation to WalMart. Globill and whatever that other processor is that is always trolling the iBill threads feed off iBill scraps.

And whoever just said iBill has payment issues is full of shit. In 4 years I have never met anyone who can say they were screwed by iBill on payment.

There are 2 processors.

iBill and ccBill. The rest do not even belong in the same league. Cept maybe Jettis, but they scare me after all that went down with them.

Hey I resemble that remark!

"There are 2 processors. iBill and ccBill."

For you to consider only 2 processors is
like saying there's only two adult sites, Playboy.com and Hustler.com

Maximus,

I guess the thousands of merchants that Netbilling and Websitebilling process for are invisible huh? What a joke. Some people need to open their eyes just a little bit.

Listen up whiners...

I never said either of you two's systems suck. I just said not the same league. You are not going to try and tell me you are.

I think it would be a pretty safe bet to say that ccBill and iBill probably process more in an hour than you two do in a week combined.

I think the only benefit you could get from a smaller processor is individualized attention. But are you willing to take the risk? How many smaller processors have gone under in the last 5 years? Tooooo many.

You guys bounce from iBill thread to iBill thread hawking your warez, and who is that lapdog kid with your links in his sig? Do you see ccBill reps bouncing around iBill threads trying to lure people over? No, they dont have to. And neither do you.

Yes your right about two things Labret. First we shouldnt be hanging around Ibill threads. This topic was brought up by a previous thread and I shed some light on the recent Visa memo about child porn as the possible motive for Ibills recent dive into donations for exploited children. Ordinarily I answer only questions pertaining to the industry as a hole.

Secondly, Your right Ibill and CCbill probably do more in a day than WSB does in a week. The difference lies not in a superior product or financial stabilty but more so in a larger marketing budget due to deeper pockets.

We do our own fraud scrubbing , do our competitors or do they outsource? We have inhouse programmers, do our competitors or do they outsource? When you have a tech problem what does it mean to fill out a ticket? We have a service called insta-tech. Your solution worked on now when you need it, not later when we get to it.

Since 1996 we have grown from 260,000 in processing to 52 million this year. Our product has sold itself.

Please forgive me Labret for being so passionate about what I do but when I you say no-one else exist but ccbill and Ibill I feel the uncontrolable urge to interject.

I will leave this and future Ibill threads alone...

Why would this be the case?

- Globill offers support with in an hour
- all the same billing options
- cheques on time every time
- ALL STATS actually show up
- No known problems since I have been with them
- they DONT send out e-mails on rebills anymore
- Your rebill stats dont disappear
- the user doesnt automatically get billed $1 extra for charity (which as mentioned maybe could put users off).

Some info:

The list goes on and Globill DOES not even hang around these threads I do because Globill is a really really good service

You're wrong.
You're comparing "Joe's Turnkey Insurance Company" to CIS.
You're comparing "Bobby's Software Solutions" to Microsoft.
Damn... you're comparing Homer Simpson to Stephen Hawking.

Nobody is denying that Globill has a nice setup but compared to the size and influence of ibill, they're just some shitty little avs.

Why do you keep spamming for Globill?

Do you think that Lensman is going to signup under you or something?
