Thats a sick Cls. But if you ask for my honest opinion, Id pick a Beemer over M-B any day. Benz is good, dont get me wrong. But they will always get owned by Beemer. They enjoyed a good couple months of having the fastest sedan on the road, E55. Till the 500 horse, 7-gear, naturaly aspired M5 hit the streets.

-The 4 door is not out, and still isn't greenlighted at this moment, meaning they're not sure they want to proceed with anything besides a coupe (which will come first either way).

-The coupe and convertible are approximately 18 months away from arriving in customer hands from today.
The coupe and convertible 3-series will be released in 2006. Just like clockwork, its 3 series tradition.

-They'll both be using a newly developed 4.0L V8 engine producing around 400hp, not the old M5's powerplant.
Your right, I fucked up. I just asumed itll be the same engine since its a V8 and its pushing around the same HP. :)

-The picture you posted is a photoshop done by a magazine intern who has not seen the car, nor any mules. It's a fantasy.

Everyone knows the 4 door 3 series is out (as well as a 2 door coupe).

You were referring to the M3 so one can only assume that you meant the 4 door M3 is already out. They haven't made one of those since 97,

I did mean the 3 series when I said the 4 door is out. I know BMW and god knows they would never release a 4 door M3 befor a coupe, never. I think I was unclear in my first post. The 4 door 3 series is out (the E92 body), but the coupe is not out yet and will be released in 2006. There is a 3 series coupe out but thats the E46 body, nuttin new. The new coupe (E92) will be here in 2006 and the M3 will hit streets sometime in 2007.

someone on the front page mentioned that the M5s are here in the states - to my knowledge, neither the M5 nor M6 has been released yet in the US...not sure how you could have seen one unless it was an import...

1. You implied that the 4-door M3 was out. Wrong.

2. You have no idea what you're talking about in terms of 2006 being "just like clockwork" the next year of release. I was on the waiting list for the e46 M3 five years ago, and it debuted 18 months after the first 3-series coupe debuted.

3. Everyone makes mistakes, glad I could help you with the details.

4. As I said, it's a pure photoshop by a magazine, and an old one at that. No one from the media has seen any mules, prototypes, or any other version of the M3. It won't look anything like what is pictured if recent examples (M5, M6, current 3-series) are a guide.

Not on GFY. It's literally impossible for anyone who pops off about things they don't have an expertise on, who then gets corrected, to own up to their mistakes. There's always an excuse or some other nonsense.

I know they're a lot cheaper there.. but only 20k-30k or something.. enough that you're not saving too much importing one directly and changing it to RHD.

Seen here driving on the German Nürburgring is the first prototype of BMW's much anticipated M3. These photos confirm our original report (see story below) of a 4 door M3 being brought back into the model range since the E36 platform. We also reported the M3 would receive a V8 engine. If you look closely at the hood you'll notice the entire center has been sectioned out and replaced with a specially fabricated cover. It cannot be determined from these photos if the cover is steel or another material, however, it is clear that the purpose of this modification is to compensate for a larger engine. Other indicators of this prototype's intentions can be seen in the massive cross-drilled front and rear brake rotors as well as dual split exhaust pipes carefully hidden under the rear bumper fascia. Unfortunately this prototype is not having a full dress rehearsal since M3 styled front and rear fascias are absent as standard 3 Series bumpers take their place.

Yes, I picked up an SL65 last week. Bought out the lease on my Ferrari, made about $15k in the deal, and did a trade for the Benz. It is sick fast and smooth, pulled onto the highway and was doing 120 when I looked down. My penis feels much larger having 600HP under foot.

I want a hybrid.
