I've always wanted to go to Burning Man, but feel intimidated, like I'm not "alternative" enough to fit in there. With Hal & Tassy's love-filled influence, I'm committing to making the trek for next year & finding out for myself if my fears are self-imposed insecurity or not. If nothing else, a great excuse to create & get a tan. :angel

Next year I'm definitely making it out there. My bday is august 30 and I never usually want to leave, other things come up, etc. I know I say "I'm definitely going next year!" every year, but this time I mean it!

I'll find out what camp my friends are all at and let you guys know. Go check out their installation and art, say hi for me, and hang a bit with some good people from the other coast.

Glad you 2 will be able to spend it together. Should be VERY special.

I haven't been to the festival since '98. I think the best people at BM are my fellow local trashers that just go out there cause its a cool party spot for the weekend.
