If everyone froze quickly that is a sign of rapid decompression. That would mean that the cabin/passenger area was breached... there was a hole opened somehow.

I saw it sucked. But for some reason, I was also very happy it was not a terrorist attack.

Also on the news they said Helios have had the same issues in the past, but everything went fine at the end(they flew lower etc)

This really sucks. Imagine how scared the people must have been. TERRIBLE! Frozen, or died because the lack of oxygen...
